Set in the elegant Georgian city of Bath, The Rivals by Richard Sheridan, was first performed in 1775. It is though still relevant today as a close-up look at the intrigues of the in-crowd which formed the backbone of 18th century London society. A tale of dastardly deeds and duels, romantic entanglements and comedy from start to finish. The Gloucester-based Rain or Shine theatre company is back again after gracing our first outdoor stage with a performance of Wilde's, The Importance of Being Earnest. Last year we broke all previous box office records with an audience of nearly 180 people, who enjoyed picnics and wine under a fabulous west Norfolk sunset. Why not come and meet Mrs Malaprop, yes, she of the mangled, inappropriate words...under the stars at Sedgeford.
Should you decide to book early, £16.00 adult, £8.00 children, please use the dedicated Barclays account and add a reference of: The Rivals and your name. We will confirm your booking and payment by email.
